Women in Politics — A Women in NAAAP Panel Presentation

CCPAA is promoting this event for NAAAP, we are not part of the organization team. CCPAA member receive discounted ticket price as NAAAP at $5/ticket.

In recent years, Toronto’s political landscape has dramatically changed as the municipal government continues to have a more diverse membership than ever before.Despite the growing diversity within Canadian politics, last year’s mayoral election brought to light the existence of racism, homophobia, islamophobia and sexism in our community. A climate of discrimination signifies the importance of building awareness and discussion to make progress.

Please join us for a panel discussion with Olivia Chow, Yasmin Ratansi, and Kristyn Wong-Tam as they discuss why they ran as well as their visions for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive city.
